Theme 6: Design a book cover

Okay, I think this one is a good one.. For this fortnights theme you have to pick a book of your choice and design a cover for it! Deadline would be two weeks today :)

Theme 5 - Okami Kat

I thought about this one and as much as I really wanted to draw myself as a Pokémon trainer (I mean come on.. who wouldn't) I really wanted to try out the Okami style.

Definitely on my list of games that I've played the heck out of and enjoyed greatly, if you haven't played Okami already then what the heck is wrong with you? Get on it!

The visual style for the game is amazing with it's sumi-e art direction and the art of book is just fantastic. I was on my second play through a few years ago where I was collecting all 99 stray beads. Might revisit that.

Crammed apples in there, because I like apples.. and there's a paintbrush because well, I draw stuff. Oversized sleeves because I like my jumper sleeves like that. Sleepy blush-y look because I can.

Theme 5 - Guilt-ridden Dragonborn

Sorry that mines is horribly rushed! Mayhaps I will update it in the future.

Right, well, those that know me might have heard that I'm sort of playing a little game called Skyrim (nothing too heavy, y'know, dead casual... okay, so I'm nearing the 200 hour mark, judge me all you like).

And the thing is, there's quite a lot of times when I feel like a complete dick. A horrible, deplorable Nord. I put off quests that involve me killing innocents, or robbing the blacksmith that I like to smith at. I'm still getting over the end of the Dark Brotherhood Quest.

So here I am, bedecked in what is supposed to be my Thieves Guild Master armour, looking anxious and guilty.

Still, love this game. But I have waaaaay too much free time for it :P

Theme 5 - Kieran

Inspired by possible career opportunities.

Theme 5 - Yourself as a videogame character

First!

Took me a long time to decide which game to pick, but in the end I chose the Crash Bandicoot series. Crash Bandicoot 1 was the first game I ever owned, and it made a lasting impression. I always thought the bosses were way cooler than Crash and co though, so here's me as a Crash Bandicoot Boss.

I would probably be called something like Dr. T. Potts, and I'd run around firing electrical charges out of my electroglove. To charge the device, the floating bulb above my head would first build up electricity, then distribute it to the conductor on my back which in turn would power the glove. If successfully attacked I would fall over and the bulb, in an attempt to keep directly above me, would  fall to the ground as well. Then Crash could spin the bulb, and it would malfunction and shock me, which would take off a bar of my health.

I've clearly thought about this too much... Think I need a job...

Theme 5?

Hey guys it's been a while! But since we have a bit more time on our hands, what say we start up this blog again? Was thinking of possible themes and thought of: Draw yourself as as a video game character in whatever video game you wish!

What do you guys think? Also, two weeks should be enough yeah?
